This mu'fuckin' indie game has a tie in novel.
And I'm writing it.
It follows a barely functional Loyalist mech unit as they make their way through the city, fighting for their lives whilst trying to figure out what is happening.
It's about a contract, that damn contract from the trailer, that has every man and his proverbial dog up in arms trying to make a quick buck through the destruction of the city.
Other factions use this event to their advantage to trigger a civil uprising that has been brewing beneath the surface for almost a generation.

It is written in my usual Military Cyberpunk style (straight cyberpunk this time round, as the overarching theme is about regime change and revolution).
Machines have weight, clunk about and break down. Weapons have impact, the noise and visuals of battle are a large factor, and the fog of war that comes with it.
There will be (lots of) blood.
Also morality, because unlike my own universe, everyone here is not an unlikable psycho. They have feelings and motivations and stuff! Seriously, it's like they're real people or something!

I've finished the first draft, tipping in at just over 70k words, and I've had a chat with Jack and Hugh, giving me an outline on whatever tweaks they require, but it should be ready to release in coincidence with the game.
I'm excited about the game, and being a part of it, and I hope my contribution appropriately fleshes out the universe that the guys have built.

This is great news.

Now let's create tie-in movie trailers with hot young up-and-coming actors.

Really excited about this one. DC has needed next to no direction from gauss and I on this, mostly question answering "is this kosher?" questions about the Brigaverse. I think you guys will all enjoy this bad boy once it's done.

As long as there's some fucked up scene or two of you writing the most ultraviolent material possible, I'm sold.

That's about 50% of the book, so I think you'll like it.
